I updated the FOM Gallery to include a drawing made for this year’s Hula Hop in Columbus. The event includes two Retro shindigs, occuring August 10th & 11th as the sun sets. Friday night is a revival of the “Polynesian Dinner with Show”; Saturday is a mini-festival with food, kustom cars, and a slew of live bands. Hopefully, I will be able to attend both if my work schedule permits.

Word of advice on nabbing the treasure in Bahdok caverns - Don’t leave your team flagged a mile away while you go looting. Oh well, at least I picked up a Sup Vigor during the fighting in there!

Query of the day: Which Healbot comic episode would you like to see “revised” for use on a T-shirt?

Sometimes I think the GW forums need more of these. I reach my limit of hardboiled game discussion after about the 8th page of spew and counter-spew. I just have to think to myself, “Why am I reading about playing and not playing? Or having pancakes?”

Also, the Bio Page now features the painting of the SNK fighting schoolgirls. On sale for $40.00! $10 per character -woooo!

Holy hasted healers, lots of skill related changes and additions were made a few days ago. Notably, the addition of Sunspear skills for all the Nightfall players demanding rewards for extreme rank farming. Personally, I viewed the whole Sunspear concept as a metaphor for having ones character reach level 20 in a “military setting”. You start as a foot soldier and finish as a camp-establishing General (with Lightbringer’s Gaze as your special PvE skill). I didn’t feel compelled by the story to farm points; I finished the campaign having only hit rank 7.
I’m sure a small portion of gamers will be motivated to complete more side quests to increase their rank. I’m convinced that a larger percentage will continue to delight in having the “Shrine Guy” give them points for killing monsters. Don’t try the latter on Hard Mode though, because armor buff skills don’t stack now. Exploiting should require some effort.

My thanks to everyone who has passed along an invitation to their guild. However, many of the enlistment procedures hinge on accepting,  then catching up with members in guild/alliance chat. Well, I hoped to avoid putting on a cape prematurely…without even one PvE outing first. So, I’ll be asking liasons to message me (or post here) about specific guild activity I could participate in. As a player, I feel greater affinity toward a group if they recruit after some friendly adventuring,  rather than immediately opening up a seat at the end of the guild table. My apologies if that sounds illogical…

Sometimes even a mini-monk isn’t stupid enough to walk through the front door…

I don’t play a Derv or use Melonni so I tend to bypass those Avatar strongholds (all conveniently within the same area for elite capturing…can they make that class any easier for people?)

Essentially the same breed as the Forum Troll, this creature also deposits his girth next to a monitor, waiting to send his rubbery digits into a flurry of keyboard action. Observation trolls can respond to poorly executed skills within milliseconds, and determine which team will be PWND after a few flag raisings. However, research into how these trolls obtain such wisdom is hard to pursue. The shirty creatures are known to falsify personal data regarding guild membership and actual rank.

Speaking of guilds, I should find a helpful PvE organization for Healbot. All the additional GW content has distanced her from friends that don’t progress at the same pace.
