Stay Gray or add Color?
To compare appearance with the grayscale comics, I have a small drawing of Fairebuckle & Miette in color to show you. I’m considering having the new Healbot page feature the main characters with a full palette of tones. Honestly, I don’t think color improves the comics, however, it could make the homepage more contemporary. If you think the change would be a significant improvement, leave a comment…

I have to agree with you. I think it wouldn’t be good for the comics, but it might spice up the homepage a bit.

I kinda like healbot in glorious grayscale. In my opinion, maybe put up some pictures or one-panel comics in color for the looks of the page, but leave the main comics as they are.
Thanks for all those healbot (and friends) adventures btw.

For clarification: I won’t be colorizing existing comics. I’m just thinking of having color works on the gallery navigation page.

I like the color!

Color for the one-shots, pages and such would be awesome, but the comics should stay gray scale for that contemporary look.

I think color on the main pages will bring people to expect color comics.
You’ll get complaints.

It would be interesting to see what they all look like in colour once, so we can see how they actually appear, well, in colour. Only needs to be done once, though ;).

imho, STAY grayscale!!!!
if u want to point out an important detail or smthn, than add color to just that part of the comic mate..
it works in japanese mangas
like fairbuckle’s face or smthn…
color ruins that experience imho

I think it looks great in grayscale, leaves more to the imagination, doesn’t spoonfeed the material to your viewers ^^

I think it would be fun to have some colored panels here and there

I will leave a comment even if I don’t think the change would be a significant improvement.
Stay gray - it looks better that way and leaves more for the reader to fill in himself/herself.
And it is the comedy that sells a comic I think, not if it is in color or not.

yeah, i think taht maybe some onepanels here and there would be fun, but ithink for the mostpart Grayscale is YOUR thing.

what u’r comics are in gray scale?…hehe they are so good i didnt even care bout colour
well in my opp it does not matter if it is in colour or not, but u could spice some things up with colour sometimes to indicate certain details.
Miette has brown hair…and green eye…pretty.

Staying with B&W shading appeals to my lazy side. What I might do is just add a color tone behind the gallery interface.
Since Mesmers are strange and rare, Miette has bright auburn locks instead of black like the rest of the crew.

I think I’ll agree with Draxynnic.
A one-time special color version, perhaps for a “Cast” page? Heh, I want to see the biographies of the characters, like how many tries Taxi-Whammo needed before he earned his Running License from the Krytan Transit Authority.

I don’t mind either way.
Healbot comics are amazing in grayscale OR color.
I think a one-time color would be sort of neat, but, at the same time, if it would make YOU happy to do them in color, do so! =D

I’m thinking that you should do what suites *you* and your mood at the time. You might feel like doing the main page in color, so do it, or not. You may feel like doing a color comic once in a while, so you do.
They look great either way, so just do what makes you happy at the time.

Personally, I like the greyscale much more. It has that comic book feel, you know? Color is overrated.
I do agree with the commenter above me, a color comic every so often, like the Sunday paper, wouldn’t be half bad. But not every comic, or even a majority.

Make it so.

I agree with DancingZombies that a color comic once in a while would be nice, and grayscale is still a great look.
Your comics still rock, BTW.
